Catching brook trout with bare hands....
Not me, but one of my students that is. One of many highlights of my recent NOLS trip in the Wind River Range of the Rocky Mountains. Climbed a few big mountains, crossed the Continental Divide, learned to fly fish, hiked over 110 miles and gained over 22,500 feet in elevation over 28 days in the field, and the students seemed to really have gotten something out of it.
So now off to Cheyanne for the Daddy of 'em All, Fronteir Days Rodeo. Then Nebraska to visit family and a long drive home to Flagstaff, via Sante Fe and assorted stops along the way. Then who knows?
